The Niseko United resort area is made up of 4 separate but interlinking ski areas. Grand Hirafu, Hanozono, Higashiyama and Annupuri. There are a total of 38 lifts and gondolas, 47kilometers of groomed runs, 37 square kilometers of off piste terrain and two halfpipes and terrain parks. There is truly terrain for every ability and persuasion, be it powder, park or groomers.
Night Skiing The Niseko area boasts what is arguably the best night skiing in the world. Some of the best days you have in Niseko may be at night! The “nighter” has fewer people often better visibility and due to the colder temperatures even drier snow. You will be amazed how much ski able terrain there is and at how much fun you will have. Night skiing runs 7 days a week until 9pm.
Backcountry opportunities abound in Niseko and again there is terrain for all abilities. For the inexperienced there are a number of experienced and qualified guiding operations that can safely show you to your backcountry dream runs. For the experienced backcountry enthusiast the opportunities are limited only by your own adventurousness.
There are many alternatives to skiing and snowboarding in Niseko including snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice climbing, karaoke and not to be forgotten is the fact that there is a city of 2million people just 2.5 hours away for any of you urban needs be it shopping or big city nightlife.
