Getting to Niseko

Getting here is easy and once you are in Hokkaido travel is reasonably straightforward. If you are flying into the New Chitose Airport (CTS) the fastest and most convenient option is to catch a bus. Three options include the Chuo-Bus, Donnan and the Goodsports White Liner. A benefit of the Goodsports White liner is that they have English-speaking staff at their counter. The trip takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Another option is the Sky Bus, an Australian / Japanese operator that specializes in door-to-door service.

Alternatively you can catch the train from the airport to Kutchan Station. Catching the train will often require one or two transfers, which you should be aware of. The train may be a good option when traveling from Sapporo.

Another alternative is to drive but this is not the best Hokkaido travel option especially during the winter months as roads can be treacherous and navigation difficult. However should you choose to rent a car there are a number of companies located in the airport, an international drivers license is required. Remember Shiki & Koyuki provide a 4wd van for you to use during your stay.
